    The construction of the basketball court and cement pad beside the pavillion has started. Cement pad to be completed by 20 Aug 10.

    Thanks to the Commodore for feeding us/his wild turkeys (volunteers) during this work party. We shall be using the new pad for the Annual BBQ and Raffle. 

    Volunteers: Gerry Muller, Stu Melanson, Larry Romphf, Jim Anderson, Ron Jones, Jeff Watson, Dave McWhirter, Lloyd Stone and motivational support Ted Peters (on injured reserve).

    Most people know about poison ivy, but there is a new, much more poisonous plant invading Ontario's outdoors and putting workers, vacationers at risk. It's Called Giant Hogweed.

    For all members...

    We have added a section in our public folder for Safety Bulletins. Our first article is regarding the Brown Recluse Spiders. These pictures are pretty graphic, but clearly explains the risks and consequences of this spiders bite. Our Vice Commodore was bitten by one of these last summer. All boaters and families need to be cognisant of this type of spider and the need for immediate medical attention if symptoms described in bulletin appear.
