The Port Franks Yacht Club currently has NO DOCKAGE available for the 2022 season.

The Port Franks Yacht Club located in Port Franks at the Port Franks Municipal Marina.  The docks are full service with 30amp Power, Water, and private Wi-Fi service.  The cost is:  Membership $75.00, Reserve fund fee $150.00 and dock fee of $89.27 per ft.  If dockage becomes available, those members on the waiting list will be contacted first.

Received the following information from Becky Chalmers, Manager Port Franks Marina,

As of Saturday May 22/21:

• Installation of Rub Poles and Dock Boxes permitted.
• Boats allowed to launched and secured in your assigned well.
• Families only are allowed to stay overnight on their vessel.
• Gate house washrooms only are accessible.
• No picnic tables until June 2/21
• Social gathering must follow provincial guidelines.

Over the last few months a committee from the Port Franks Yacht Club has ben working with the Municipality of Lambton Shores to develop a plan to address the high water issues affecting the Port Franks Marina as a whole.  At the December 15th Council Meeting the awarding of a contract to fix all the seawalls was approved.  Here is the highlight from that meeting.

• The extension to the seawall at the Port Franks Marina was awarded Breakwall Specialists for $225,795.70.

This work is to be completed in time for the start of the 2021 Boating Season.

The Port Franks Yacht Club Webcam at the harbour entrance to Port Franks is now operational again.  This has required a new setup for the page. You will need to click on the link to activate the camera view.  We have included an aerial view to help you orient yourself to the view you are seeing. 

From the Webcam page you will find a link to other Webcams.  Here you will find direct links to Grand Bend and Sarnia.  Plus a listing of other Great Lakes webcams.

Due to high water levels, the Port Franks Marina, home of the Port Franks Yacht Club will be closed to seasonal boaters for the 2020 boating year.  The launch ramp will be available for day use boaters.  The Club will be working with the town of Lambton Shores to prepare for the 2021 boating season. The members with currently assigned seasonal slip allocations will have their slip allocations moved forward to the 2021 boating year.

It is the hope to have some dry land PFYC events over the summer at the Marina

A Celebration of Life will be held for Port Franks Yacht Club Past Commodore Ray Rumming on July 5, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498, Grand Bend.  The Celebration will be from 1 pm to 4 pm with words of Remembrance at 2 pm.  Ray passed away on Monday June 24^th. 

Ray was a founding member of the PFYC and its Commodore in 1985.  Ray retired after 33 years from the London Fire Department as a Platoon Chief.  www.hoffmanfuneralhome.com

On Thursday June 13, David McWhirter, a long-time member, and a Docker of the Port franks Yacht Club passed away.  Dave was an avid support of the club.  Dave for many years as the unofficial ground’s keeper, made sure the grass was watered and trimmed, planted flowers, and always provided a willing hand to the various tasks that needed to be done.  Dave always had his companion Soffie by his side as he surveyed the grounds.  Dave will be missed by all.
