Just an update for all members....
We have sent a letter to the Municipality requesting permission to proceed with the concrete slab beside the pavilion that can be used as a basketball court and as an extra seating area for club events.

We have also sent a letter to the Municipality regarding the problems with the wireless internet services that they installed last year and have also requested that they provide a defibrillator in the pavilion that can be accessed 24/7 in case of an emergency.

No response has been received yet on any of the above but we will keep everyone posted regarding the progress on these items.

    Thanks!  Lee Anne

Webcam... The existing webcam has now been in place for close to a year. I have heard numerous comments with respect to it's location not being the best to allow a clear view of the lake conditions. Unfortunately this camera cannot zoom out any further and a more suitable location at Christine's Restaurant is not likely going to improve the existing view with this camera. I believe we have two choices to achieve a better lake view:

Choice 1 - Move camera to another location a few houses west (an offer has been made by owner). The implications of this would be the club having to likely fund the Internet circuit costs estimated at approx $700.00 per year.

Choice 2 - Procure another camera with improved capabilities such as zoom and colour. Estimated at 800.00 We then raffle off the existing camera to assist with the funding of a new one. (Christine's supplies the Internet circuit cost)

A suggestion was also to add a wind direction & tempurature device that would provide live website data.

Anyhow the forum is open to comments and a decision will be made at the membership meeting on 05 Jun 10.

Looking for feedback on the Municipality provided Internet Wifi Services.

North side results seem to show 1 bar of signal strength (sporadica most times) when standing on top of our picnic tables. 0 bars sitting at our picnic tables or at our vessels. Slip 80 area

Please provide feedback and indcate your slip number. We can then provide the information to the municipality as to our struggles.

    Thanks.
